Branding: Writing The Kip District's brochure

Branding: Writing The Kip District's brochure

The Kip District is an Etobicoke-based master-planned community connecting five sleek towers by soaring views. The challenge was to define the community by its outside-of-the-city edge while creating excitement about how the neighbourhood will grow over the next decade.

Along with branding the campaign, 52 Pick-up designed a newspaper-sized brochure, sales centre, print ad campaign and digital website with social media. I personally managed The Kip District's blog and social media accounts.

One of my favourite articles involved interviewing Rajiv Surendra, who you may recognize from Mean Girls. Now a chalkboard artist and calligrapher, he added his artistic touch to one of the walls at The Kip District’s Presentation Centre. You can read the interview here.

I also wrote the brochure for The Kip District, looking at the community, floorplans and bios. The client wanted to structure the brochure like a magazine, and thought my journalism background would fit perfectly with what they were looking for.
